Puttur: Absconding accused in robbery attempt case held in Bihar after 7 years

Puttur, Apr 27: In a significant development, Sampya police station have arrested an accused who had been absconding for seven years in connection with a house robbery attempt case.

The accused, identified as Tun Tun Kumar (31), a resident of Begusarai in Bihar, had failed to appear before the court in relation to a 2018 robbery attempt case registered under Sampya police limits.

Police traced and apprehended him in Bihar. A team comprising head constable Madhu K N and constables Astham R and Nagesh K C produced the accused before the court on Saturday.

The court has remanded him to judicial custody, police said.
