New Delhi, Apr 28: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has called for a united and uncompromising stand against terrorism by member nations of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, warning that double standards in dealing with terror groups undermine global security efforts.
Addressing a meeting of SCO member states, Singh stressed that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations must be condemned unequivocally, without selective approaches. He cautioned that distinguishing between “good” and “bad” terrorists weakens the collective fight against extremism.

Highlighting the need for coordinated international action, Singh urged SCO countries to enhance intelligence sharing, disrupt terror financing networks and take firm action against those providing safe havens to terrorist groups.
He also emphasised that radicalisation, particularly through online platforms, remains a growing concern and requires joint efforts to counter extremist propaganda and recruitment.
Reaffirming India’s commitment to combating terrorism, Singh said a consistent and principled approach is essential to ensure regional stability and global peace.
