Mangaluru, May 6: The 38th sacerdotal anniversary of Fr Cyprian Pinto was celebrated with devotion and grandeur at St Sebastian Church, Permannur, on May 2.

The programme commenced with Eucharistic Adoration, followed by a solemn Holy Mass presided over by Fr Cyprian Pinto. Assistant parish priest Fr Melvin D’Souza concelebrated the Mass.

After the liturgical service, Fr Cyprian was escorted to the stage by a brass band for a formal felicitation programme. Vice president of the Parish Pastoral Council, Arun D’Souza, welcomed the gathering, released a commemorative souvenir, and presented a memento to the parish priest.

Sr Jyothika BS, superior of Bethel Convent, compered the programme. Tributes were paid to Fr Cyprian by Janet D’Souza, Prashanth D’Souza, and Sr Cecilia Mendonca, highlighting his dedicated service to the Church and community.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Fr Melvin D’Souza. Around 1,500 parishioners participated in the celebration, which ended with a festive dinner for all.
