India marks one year of Operation Sindoor; Rajnath Singh salutes armed forces

New Delhi, May 7: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and the Indian Air Force on Thursday paid tribute to the courage and sacrifices of the armed forces as Operation Sindoor completed one year.

In a message posted on X, Rajnath Singh hailed the armed forces for their bravery and commitment in safeguarding the nation.

“On the anniversary of Operation Sindoor, we salute the valour and sacrifices of our armed forces, whose courage and dedication continue to safeguard the nation. Their actions during the operation reflected unmatched precision, seamless jointness and deep synergy across services, setting a benchmark for modern military operations,” he stated.

The Indian Air Force also commemorated the anniversary by reaffirming the country’s firm resolve against terrorism and honouring the personnel involved in the operation.

Operation Sindoor is regarded as a significant military operation that showcased coordination among the armed forces and highlighted India’s strategic and operational capabilities in tackling security threats.

The anniversary was marked by tributes across defence establishments, remembering the sacrifices made by military personnel in protecting the nation’s sovereignty and security.
