AC explosion triggers massive fire in Greater Noida house; no casualties reported

Greater Noida, May 7: A massive fire broke out late Wednesday night at a residence in Sector Beta 1 of Greater Noida after an air conditioner allegedly exploded, triggering panic among local residents.

According to officials, the incident occurred around 10.15 pm at house number E-166 belonging to Amit Kumar. The fire reportedly originated on the first floor of the building and rapidly spread through the house.

As flames engulfed the structure, family members rushed downstairs and managed to escape safely. Within minutes, the blaze intensified, destroying a large portion of the household belongings.

Residents in the locality attempted to control the fire and immediately alerted the fire department. A fire tender was rushed to the spot, and firefighters later succeeded in bringing the situation under control.

Officials confirmed that no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. However, the fire caused extensive property damage, with most household items reduced to ashes.

Authorities are further investigating the exact cause of the fire.
