Bhatkal, Mar 11: The 44th annual athletic meet of Anjuman Degree College and PG centre was held at Anjuman Abad ground, here.

TMC president in his inaugural address said, “Our students have good talents. They have won many a times in university levels in kabaddi, cricket, volleyball and also in athletics but do not have any coach. We have a big ground but it is very sad that our institution do not have indoor and outdoor stadium”. He requested principal of the college to have separate coach for students so that they get proper training.

Speaking on the occasion he said that the principal and management should appeal UGC to sanction budget for the stadium. Discipline should be maintained while playing. Winning and loosing is part of the game. Discipline and sprit is important.
 
Kashimji Mohammed Ansar, vice president of AHM presided and wished for the success.

College Board secretary, Javeed Armar, general secretary of Anjuman, Hami e Muslimeen Abdur Raheem Jukaku and others were present on the dais.

Programme began with the recitation of holy Quran by Nadeem Qausain. Chief guest Inayatullah Shahbandari hoisted the flag.

Principle of the college KC Nazeer Ahmed welcomed the guests. A M Jamadar proposed the vote of thanks. Prof Saheel Ahmed compered.
