Tennessee, May 14: Controversial live streamer Dalton Eatherly, popularly known online as “Chud the Builder,” was injured in a shooting incident outside a courthouse in Tennessee on Wednesday, authorities said.
Eatherly, 28, was involved in a confrontation with an unidentified man outside the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville around 1:20 pm, according to District Attorney General Robert J. Nash of the 19th Judicial District.

Officials said the altercation escalated into gunfire, leaving both men injured.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that both individuals sustained gunshot wounds and were later shifted to hospitals, where they were reported to be in stable condition.
According to local reports citing investigators, Eatherly allegedly opened fire during the confrontation and may have accidentally shot himself in the arm.
Following the incident, law enforcement personnel secured the area, locked down the courthouse and took one person into custody.
Authorities stated that the matter remains under investigation and there is currently no threat to the public.
Court records show that Eatherly was scheduled to appear before the courthouse earlier in the day in connection with a contract and debt-related case.
Eatherly is known online for posting controversial “rage-bait” content, frequently using offensive racial slurs and provoking confrontations during livestreams.
The shooting incident came just days after his arrest in Nashville over allegations of disorderly conduct, theft of services and resisting arrest.
According to court documents, Eatherly allegedly caused a disturbance at a restaurant after being asked to stop livestreaming. Police claimed he refused to pay a bill amounting to USD 371.55 and made offensive racial remarks while shouting inside the establishment.
He was later arrested again after officers attempted to detain him over outstanding warrants, during which he allegedly resisted arrest.
Eatherly was subsequently released on a USD 5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court again on July 17.
