Bhopal/Dewas, May 17: At least three labourers lost their lives and two others were seriously injured after a mini truck carrying onions overturned in Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh late Saturday night, officials said.
The accident took place between 12:30 am and 1:00 am near the Berkhedi crossing close to Chaubaradhara under the jurisdiction of Pipalrava police station.
According to police, the vehicle was travelling from the Gandharvapuri area towards Chaubaradhara when the driver allegedly lost control at a sharp turn, causing the overloaded truck to overturn.

Five labourers were reportedly seated on top of the onion sacks when the vehicle flipped, trapping them under the cargo and wreckage.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the driver may have dozed off while driving at high speed, leading to the crash.
Local residents and police teams rushed to the spot after receiving information. With assistance from villagers, rescue operations were carried out and the victims were pulled out and shifted to the Civil Hospital in Sonkachh.
Doctors declared three labourers dead on arrival. The deceased have been identified as Omprakash Malviya, Akash Bagania, and Vijay Malviya, all residents of Balon village.
The injured include the driver and cleaner of the mini truck, who are undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident, while efforts are also underway to clear the road and restore traffic flow.
