Mangaluru, May 18: A grand farewell ceremony was organized on May 18 at the auditorium of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, to bid farewell to the outgoing final-year students of BE, BArch, MBA, MCA, and MTech programs.
The event was conducted in a joyful and emotional atmosphere, celebrating the achievements and memories of the graduating students. The welcome address was delivered by Dr Dheeraj Hebbar, who extended warm wishes and blessings to the graduating students for their future endeavors.

A major highlight of the ceremony was the formal release of the college newsletter 'Shrikruti – 17', which was unveiled by the dignitaries on the dais. The newsletter showcased the academic, technical, cultural, and extracurricular achievements of the institution during the academic year.
The programme was presided over by Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal of Srinivas Institute of Technology, who addressed the students with inspiring words and encouraged them to move ahead in life with confidence, honesty, and determination. He motivated the students to uphold values, continue learning, and strive for excellence in their professional careers.
During the programme, students shared their memorable experiences and expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the management, faculty members, and friends for their support and guidance throughout their academic journey. The event also featured the distribution of awards for the Best Final-Year Projects from various departments, recognizing innovation, creativity, and academic excellence among students.
Heads of departments, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students from various streams actively participated in the programme and extended their warm wishes to the outgoing batch. The event was gracefully compered by Dr Sumana V S, department of chemistry, and Prof Rashmi, department of MBA. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr Ananthkumar Kulkarni, event coordinator.
The farewell function ended on a memorable and emotional note, marking the successful completion of an important chapter in the students’ lives.
