Mapusa, May 20: Police have initiated an investigation into an incident of illegal motorcycle racing reported on the Mapusa highway, with efforts currently underway to identify and track down those involved. Bardez SDPO Salim Shaikh said authorities are working to trace the riders and verify their addresses as part of the ongoing probe.

According to police officials, the reckless racing activity on the busy highway posed a serious threat to motorists and regular commuters, prompting immediate attention from law enforcement agencies.

Shaikh stated that strict legal action would be taken against individuals found participating in illegal racing or violating traffic regulations, adding that such dangerous stunts on public roads will not be tolerated.
