Siddharth Shetty’s Tulu film ‘Kajja’ to release on Jun 11, Mysuru premiere on May 27

Mangaluru, May 26: The team of the Tulu film 'Kajja', which recently held its trailer and audio release event, has announced a new update regarding its revised release date.

Earlier, Kajja was scheduled for release on May 15. However, the release has now been postponed to enable a bigger-scale launch. The film will now hit theatres on June 11.

The premiere of Kajja will be held on May 27 at DRC Cinemas in Mysuru. The film has earned the distinction of becoming the first Tulu movie to have a premiere screening in Mysuru.

Directed by Jishnu S Menon and Siddharth Shetty, Kajja had generated curiosity right from its inception. When the teaser was released, Tulu audiences described it as a film that breaks conventional cinematic norms and offers a fresh approach. The film, which blends comedy, thriller, action, and a love story, carries the tagline ‘Karma Returns’.

Siddharth Shetty plays a lead role in the film, alongside multilingual actor Vasishta Simha, marking his debut in Tulu cinema. Mohan Raj has written the story, screenplay, and dialogues for Kajja, while the film is produced by Vishanth Menezes.

The film also features Aravind Bolar, Umesh Mijar, Jayashree, Shwetha Kotian, Sahana Sudhakar, Vencita Dias, Mohan Raj, Gautham Bangera, Suvarna Poojary, Savita Anchan, Shaheen Sheikh, and Sannidhi Shetty.

The music for the film is composed by Likhith Prasad Shetty, with cinematography by Chandu Meppayur and editing by Binu Napoleon. Choreography is by Vijeth R Nayak, while action sequences are directed by Yoganand.
