Mangaluru, May 28: Pre-monsoon showers intensified across various parts of Sullia taluk on Wednesday, with heavy rain reported in Bellare and Sullia town limits.
Sullia town received good rainfall accompanied by thunder, while Bellare witnessed intense showers. According to rainfall records, Pelathadka in Peruvaje village received 39 mm rain, Ubaradka 34 mm, the Devasya surroundings in Mupperiya 33 mm, and Kenya recorded 24 mm rainfall.
Moderate to heavy rain was also reported from several other areas including Balla, Kalmadka, Ennuru, Kotemundugaru, and Pambethady Nekrakaje. A few places, however, recorded only light drizzle.

Meanwhile, several parts of Dakshina Kannada district also received good rainfall after Wednesday evening. Rain was reported from Puttur and nearby regions, while Mangaluru city remained cloudy throughout the day after experiencing sunny weather in the morning.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), coastal Karnataka is likely to receive thunder showers over the next two days.
Mangaluru recorded a maximum temperature of 32.8 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, which was 0.1 degree above normal, while the minimum temperature stood at 26.5 degrees Celsius, 1.8 degrees above normal.
