KSRTC driver Joseph Machado felicitated in Mumbai on retirement after 34 years of service

Mumbai, May 30: Bus enthusiasts, regular passengers, and local bus agents from Mira Road, Mumbai, came together to felicitate veteran KSRTC driver Joseph Machado on his retirement, recognising his dedicated service in the transport sector spanning more than 34 years.

A native of Udyavara in Udupi district, Joseph Machado served with the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) for over three decades and was widely appreciated by passengers travelling on the Mangaluru–Mumbai route. He was known for his professionalism, safe driving, and courteous nature throughout his career.

Machado primarily operated the Volvo semi-sleeper service on the Mangaluru–Mumbai route and earned the admiration of passengers and bus enthusiasts alike for his friendly and approachable attitude.

To honour his long and distinguished service, local bus agents, transport enthusiasts, and regular passengers organised a felicitation programme at Mira Road. Fr Ashwin Rohan D'Silva, assistant parish priest of St Joseph Church, Mira Road, was also present and joined in felicitating Machado on the occasion of his retirement.

The gathering praised Machado's commitment, dedication, and exemplary service, wishing him a healthy and fulfilling retired life.
