Udupi, Jun 1: St Cecily’s English Medium Higher Primary School (CBSE) welcomed students back with great enthusiasm and excitement as it reopened for the academic year 2026–27 on June 1.
The school campus wore a festive look with beautifully decorated classroom doors, bulletin boards, class boards, and a vibrant selfie stand, all conveying a warm ‘Welcome Back’ message. Students arrived with cheerful smiles and eager minds, and were warmly received by the faculty members as they stepped off the school buses and entered the campus.
The formal inaugural assembly was held in the school auditorium. The programme commenced with a meaningful prayer seeking God’s blessings for the holistic development of students in knowledge, values, and character. Pranathi of grade IX extended a gracious welcome to the gathering.






























Principal Sr Lathika AC warmly welcomed the newly appointed school administrator, Sr Maria Roopa AC In her inspiring address, Sr Maria Roopa encouraged students to nurture their unique talents, strive for excellence, and mould themselves into responsible and compassionate individuals.
Adding to the spirit of the occasion, students presented a meaningful skit that rekindled cherished memories of the previous academic year while motivating everyone to give their best in the year ahead. A soulful dance performance further enhanced the celebratory atmosphere.
In her opening message, principal Sr Lathika urged students to shape their academic journey around the three Ds—Dreams, Determination, and Discipline. She encouraged them to pursue their goals with commitment and perseverance.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Thanvith M S of grade IX, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event. The inaugural celebration marked a promising beginning to another year of learning, growth, and excellence at St Cecily’s English Medium Higher Primary School.
