Mangaluru, Jun 3: Carmel School, CBSE witnessed a series of enriching professional development and institutional events from May 26 to 30, reaffirming its commitment to quality education and holistic growth.
An orientation programme for the faculty was organized on May 29 in the school auditorium. The session commenced with a prayer service led by teacher Shanti and her group. Sister Rosevera AC, the principal, welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person, father Edward Rodrigues SJ. Focusing on the theme ‘Learning, Leading, and Transforming’, father Edward inspired teachers to create meaningful learning experiences and adopt innovative strategies to meet the evolving challenges of 21st-century education.
Through interactive discussions and reflections, the programme enhanced the professional competencies of the faculty and provided valuable insights for effective teaching-learning practices. The programme was compered by teacher Lara, and the vote of thanks was delivered by teacher Cynthia.
A separate orientation programme for kindergarten teachers was conducted by Password Book Publication on May 30. The session introduced teachers to interactive learning materials, demonstrated effective classroom management tools, and provided hands-on training in the use of digital content. The programme equipped teachers with innovative resources and practical strategies to enrich early childhood education.
On the same day, the school had the privilege of welcoming sister Marie Evelyn, superior general, and the joint secretary of St Ann’s Campus Institutions. The distinguished guest was warmly received by Sr Rosevera AC, the principal. During her visit, she interacted with the teaching and non-teaching staff and appreciated their dedication towards the holistic development of students. Addressing the gathering, sister Marie Evelyn emphasized the importance of values, discipline and commitment to excellence.
