Akhilesh Becomes UP Chief Minister


Lucknow, Mar 15 (IANS): Nine days after his Samajwadi Party won a thumping majority in Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav was sworn in Thursday as the 33rd chief minister of India's most populous state.

The 38-year-old, the youngest to govern Uttar Pradesh, took oath in the name of god at 11.34 a.m. at the huge La Martiniere College grounds here, watched by thousands of cheering supporters.

The son of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav was credited with steering the party to victory in Uttar Pradesh. It won 224 of the 403 seats in the assembly.

On Wednesday, Akhilesh Yadav admitted that government formation would not be an easy task and that he would try to have a mix of experienced and new faces in his cabinet.

Currently a Lok Sabha MP, Akhilesh Yadav will now get elected to the Uttar Pradesh legislature.

    I request Mr Chief Minister to kindly intevene in to on going UP board Exam urgently as some of the Exam centers openly Exam staff is asking bribe of Rs 5000 for each subject students those giving are given seperate room for writing the exam with choise of book to copy in UP Board Exam. Think for poor intelligent students who cannot afford to pay on of the center where this is happening is given below
