Three-day UG Health Sciences Research Conference 'Erevna' to begin from June 4 at KMC Mangalore

Mangaluru, Jun 3: The fourth edition of ‘EREVNA’, the National Undergraduate Health Sciences Research Conference, will be held at Knowledge Block, Centre for Basic Sciences, Bejai, Kasturba Medical College, Mangaluru for three days from June 4.

Over 700 undergraduate medical students from 50 medical colleges across India have registered for the conference. The event will feature approximately 400 oral presentations. In addition, various student clubs of KMC, Mangaluru will conduct five interactive workshops, two competitive quizzes, research presentations, poster presentations, and clinical case discussions.

Special sessions will be hosted by industry experts from Laerdal, Elsevier, Karnataka Medical Council & UWorld providing valuable insights for participating students. The conference program will also include symposiums, masterclasses, and keynote lectures delivered by distinguished medical professionals.

Erevna 2026 is dedicated to fostering research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration among undergraduate medical students, shaping future healthcare leaders, and enhancing academic excellence. This fourth edition of Erevna continues the tradition of providing a robust platform for young medical researchers to showcase their work, exchange ideas, and build valuable professional networks.

Organised by the Student Research Forum of Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Mangaluru, under the aegis of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), the conference will be inaugurated at 3 pm on Thursday at Knowledge Block, Centre for Basic Sciences, Bejai, KMC Mangaluru.

Ivan D’souza, MLC will be the chief guest. Sanjeev Singh, managing director of Laerdal Medical India Private Limited will be the guest of honour. Dr Sharath Kumar Rao, vice-chancellor, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, will preside over the event along with B Unnikrishnan, dean, KMC Mangaluru.
