Madhya Pradesh CM to Meet Team Anna Next Week

Bhopal, Mar 15 (IANS): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will Monday meet members of Team Anna to discuss the Jan Lokpal bill and complaints of illegal mining.

"The CM and Team Anna members would deliberate upon the implementation of Jan Lokayukta which provides for a strong protection for whistle-blowers… The team would also demand for effective action in all the complaints of illegal mining in the state," said a statement from Team Anna.

Members of the anti-corruption group, led by Anna Hazare, had Tuesday begun a three-day fast in the state to press for an ombudsman.

However, the fast was called off Wednesday after an official from the Madhya Pradesh government invited them for talks with Chouhan.
