Mumbai, Jun 7: A 28-year-old man lost his life after reportedly falling ill during an overnight electronic music concert at the NSCI Dome in Mumbai’s Worli area, prompting police to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The deceased, identified as Vrishabh Mahendra Gangurde, was a resident of Mahim and had attended the ‘Klangkuenstler All Night Long’ music event along with a female companion.

According to police officials, both Gangurde and his friend experienced sudden health complications while attending the concert. Event staff and emergency responders arranged immediate medical assistance, and the two were rushed for treatment. While doctors were able to stabilise the woman, Gangurde was declared dead upon arrival.
The Tardeo Police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) and begun a detailed inquiry. Officials said the exact cause of death remains unknown and will be determined only after the completion of post-mortem and forensic examinations.
As part of the investigation, authorities are exploring multiple angles. Preliminary information suggests that Gangurde may have consumed alcohol before or during the event. However, investigators are also examining whether any prohibited substances, medical complications, or other contributing factors may have played a role in the incident.
Police teams are currently recording statements from the victim’s friends, event organisers, venue employees, and other attendees who may have witnessed the events leading up to the tragedy.
Investigators are also reviewing CCTV footage from the venue to establish a clear timeline and reconstruct the sequence of events. The findings from forensic analysis and witness testimonies are expected to play a crucial role in determining the circumstances that led to Gangurde’s death.
Authorities said further action, if required, will be based on the outcome of the ongoing investigation and medical reports.
