Mangaluru: Srinivas University's NSS unit of BCom Department holds guest talk

Mangaluru, Jun 8: The Department of B.Com, Srinivas University Institute of Management and Commerce, organised a guest talk on “Certified Data Analyst for Business Excellence and Innovation” on June 6 at 11 am.

The session was conducted by Anoop Sanil and Gaurav, directors of Career Ladder Technologies. The objective of the programme was to provide students with an understanding of the growing importance of data analytics in modern business environments.

In the session students were introduced to various tools and technologies commonly used in data analytics, such as Microsoft Excel, Power Query, SQL, Python, Alteryx, UiPath, Snowflake, Power Automate, and Power BI. The resource persons also highlighted the importance of professional certifications and industry-relevant skills for enhancing employability.

The students got practical insights into the responsibilities of data analysts and discussed the increasing demand for data professionals across industries. Students actively participated in the interactive session and gained valuable knowledge about career pathways in analytics.

The programme successfully helped bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the speakers for their informative and inspiring presentation.

The programme was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr Venkatesh S Amin, dean, IMC, Prof Sharmila S Shetty, HoD of BCom, Prof Bhat Apoorva Balakrishna, guest talk coordinator. All the faculties of BCom Department and students have actively participated in this programme.
