Mangaluru, Jun 9: Mangaluru’s talented daughter, Wencita Dias, continues to break barriers and inspire young dreamers as she continues her strides into the world of Tulu cinema with the much-awaited movie 'Kajja', releasing in theatres on June 11.
A proud member of the Catholic community and a passionate artist, Wencita has already made her mark in the entertainment industry through her performances in films such as 'Osmitay' and 'Gabbar Singh'. Her dedication and talent earned her the Best Debut Actress Award (Costalwood Filmfare Awards in 2025), bringing her recognition as one of the promising young faces from Coastal Karnataka.



Currently Wencita is pursuing her master in mass communication & media studies at St Aloysius Deemed to be University, Mangaluru. Beyond acting, Wencita is widely known as a TEDx speaker, recipient of the Rising Star Award (by Ira Awards in 2026) and Young Achiever Award (Rotary Club in 2025), and the founder of 'Wenz Modelling Academy', where she mentors aspiring models and performers. Along with all this, Wencita is an international fashion choreographer. She is widely invited as guest and judge for many entertainment events in and around Mangaluru, which displays her wide popularity as well as role model among the youth. Since a few months, she also expresses herself in her YouTube channel ' Wenz Vlogs'.
In 'Kajja', Wencita plays a beautiful and impactful role as a Christian girl, bringing authenticity and emotion to the screen. Her presence in the film is particularly significant as a young Konkani actress representing her community in the Tulu film industry.
She hopes her journey encourages more young people from the Konkani and Catholic communities to pursue their dreams fearlessly. As 'Kajja' hits theatres across the region on June 11, Wencita warmly invites audiences to support local cinema and experience this heartfelt story on the big screen.
Though being a student, with her achievements as an actress, choreographer, TEDx speaker, entrepreneur, YouTuber and youth icon, Wencita Dias continues to prove that determination, passion, and hard work can turn dreams into reality.
