Bantwal: Sri Kshetra Kukkaje distributes free school books to hundreds of students

Bantwal, June 9: Hundreds of school students received free textbooks at Sri Kshetra Kukkaje on Tuesday as part of the temple's annual educational assistance programme conducted by Sri Krishna Guruji.

Continuing a long-standing tradition, Sri Krishna Guruji distributed the books to students from various schools in the region ahead of the academic year.

Among those present were M K Kukkaje, Moktesar of Sri Kshetra Kukkaje; Sridhar Balekallu; Naveen Taridala, president of Kalika Kala Sangha (R), Kukkaje; Lingappa Gowda, veterinary doctor from Uppinangady; Satish, junior engineer of the Kanyana division; and Sundara Palaneeru.

The event was also attended by Sudha Sandesh, headmistress of Government Higher Primary School, Kamajalu, and Dayamani, headmistress of Venugopala Aided Higher Primary School, Pakalakunja.

Students from various schools, teachers and devotees participated in the programme.

Purushottama Karaje, a close associate of Sri Krishna Guruji, assisted in the distribution of books during the event.
