Amaravati, Jun 14: Four members of a family, including three children, lost their lives after a boat carrying them overturned in the Krishna River in Andhra Pradesh's Palnadu district on Sunday. In separate incidents, three people were killed in a road accident in Telangana, while 20 bus passengers were injured in Karnataka.
The boating tragedy occurred near Konur village in Achampet mandal when 10 members of the same family were returning home after attending a family function.

According to police, the boat suddenly overturned in the river, throwing all the occupants into the water. Villagers rushed to the scene and managed to rescue six people, while four others went missing.
A search operation was launched jointly by police and local residents. The bodies of the missing persons were later recovered from the river.
The deceased were identified as nine-year-old Gandham Sandhya, 10-year-old Gandham Saini, 12-year-old Batthula Karthik and 28-year-old Konatha Chaitanya.
Police have initiated an inquiry into the circumstances that led to the accident.
In a separate incident in Telangana's Siddipet district, three people were killed after a speeding car veered off the road and crashed into a house in Duddeda village of Kondapak mandal.
Police said the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle while attempting to avoid an elderly woman crossing the road.
The car rammed into a roadside house, killing the elderly woman, identified as Radhavva, along with Lakshmi and a young girl named Sahasra, who were sitting on the veranda at the time of the crash.
The occupants of the car allegedly fled the scene after the accident, abandoning the vehicle. Police have registered a case and launched efforts to identify and trace the vehicle owner and those involved.
Meanwhile, 20 passengers travelling in an Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus were injured in an accident near Bengaluru in Karnataka.
Reports said the bus, carrying around 40 passengers from Pamuru in Andhra Pradesh's Markapuram region to Bengaluru, collided with a stationary truck.
Ten of the injured passengers were admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment, while others received medical attention for minor injuries.
Authorities are investigating all three incidents. The accidents have once again highlighted concerns over water transport safety and road safety across the region.
