Patna, Jun 19: The investigation into Bihar’s alleged Rishu Shree tender scam intensified on Friday, with the Special Vigilance Unit (SVU) carrying out simultaneous searches at several locations in Patna linked to two suspended IAS officers and a private infrastructure company.
The raids were conducted at the residences of suspended IAS officers Abhilasha Sharma and Yogesh Sagar, along with premises connected to Pawan Kumar, Director of Matre Seva Infra Private Limited.

An SVU team arrived at Yogesh Sagar’s government residence in Gardanibagh Colony early in the morning and carried out a detailed search operation. Investigators examined official records, electronic gadgets and documents related to government contracts and financial dealings. Several documents were seized for further examination.
At the same time, another team searched Abhilasha Sharma’s residence on Nehru Path. Officials found the house locked upon arrival and later entered through the staff quarters to continue the operation. Both Sharma and Sagar were reportedly absent during the searches.
Investigators combed through multiple rooms and scrutinised files, digital devices and records suspected to be linked to the allocation of government tenders.
The SVU also searched locations associated with Pawan Kumar in Beur's Vihar Colony. Officials are reviewing company records, financial statements and documents connected to government contracts awarded to Matre Seva Infra Private Limited.
Authorities believe the seized materials could provide crucial evidence regarding financial transactions and possible irregularities linked to the case.
According to investigators, the probe centres on allegations that certain government officials helped secure contracts for companies allegedly linked to the prime accused, Rishu Shree, in exchange for substantial kickbacks.
Following the registration of an FIR by the SVU and the emergence of the alleged scam, the Bihar government suspended both IAS officers while investigations continue.
Meanwhile, Rishu Shree remains in the custody of investigating agencies and has undergone extensive questioning over the past several days.
Sources said information gathered during the interrogation has prompted investigators to widen the scope of the inquiry and examine the involvement of officials, contractors and other individuals suspected of being part of the alleged network.
Investigative teams are currently analysing documents, electronic data and financial records collected during the raids. Officials said the complete extent of the alleged irregularities and the network involved will become clearer only after a thorough examination of the evidence.
Search operations are still underway, and further action is expected based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
