Mangaluru, Jun 21: “Teachers are not merely educators but partners in mission, committed to the holistic formation of students in the spirit of Jesuit values,” said Fr Brian Pereira SJ, the new rector of St Aloysius Institutions.

St Aloysius Gonzaga School warmly welcomed its new rector, Fr Brian Pereira SJ, on June 19, during the celebration of the Feast of St Aloysius Gonzaga. He was honoured by the principal, vice principals, academic coordinators and parent-teacher executive committee representatives during the celebration.

In his address to the students, the rector emphasized the importance of following the three D’s—Dream, Dedication, and Discipline—as guiding principles for success in life.

Following the celebration, he interacted with the staff in a lively and engaging session, where the principal Fr Rohan D’Almeida SJ warmly welcomed him and introduced him by highlighting his previous designations and rich experience.

In his address to the staff, Fr Brian praised St Aloysius Gonzaga School as one of the finest CBSE schools in Mangaluru and in Karnataka Province, attributing its success to the tireless efforts and dedication of the staff, parents, and benefactors. Responding to a question from the staff regarding his dream and vision for the school, he stated that everyone shares a common goal—ensuring holistic education and the well-being of all students. Concluding his interaction, Fr Brian conveyed his best wishes for a fruitful journey of collaboration and service in the years ahead.
