Bantwal: Six injured as Omni car, jeep collide head-on; vehicles damaged

Bantwal, Jun 24: Six people were injured after an Omni car and a jeep collided head-on at a turn between Padibagilu and Maira in Kepu village on Wednesday, June 24. Both vehicles were badly damaged in the impact.

The accident occurred when a jeep travelling from Vittal towards Bayar collided with an Omni car that was heading towards Uppinangady on the inter-state highway at Maira.

Due to the force of the collision, one person travelling in the Omni car was thrown onto the road.

The injured have been identified as Omni car driver Krishna, Prakash, Sujatha, Sumangala, Sharanya, and Udayanarayana Bhat, who was travelling in the jeep.

The injured were shifted for medical treatment.
