CODP conducts workshop to promote gender equality and women's empowerment

Mangaluru, Jun 26: A workshop on gender equality was organized at the ISD Hall of the CODP institution for the Gender Equality Catalyst Team on June 25, which was formed under the Women Empowerment Project.

The programme was presided over by Fr Vincent D'Souza, director of the CODP institution. Tukaram from the DEEDS organization attended as the resource person and conducted the training session.

During the workshop, detailed insights were shared regarding societal attitudes toward men and women, existing discrimination, and the necessary changes that need to occur in society. Furthermore, effective methods of training on gender equality were demonstrated through engaging group activities.

A total of 40 women representing various federations and apex bodies actively participated in this workshop. Fr Lawrence Cutinha, assistant director of CODP, Supriya, coordinator of the Women Empowerment Project, and other staff members were also present.
