Pune, Jun 27: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday said the state government is committed to ensuring the progress of every section of society and that welfare initiatives will not come at the cost of any community.
He was speaking at a felicitation programme held in Pune to honour candidates who cleared the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) and other competitive examinations.
Fadnavis said the government’s focus is on providing equal opportunities and empowering youth through education, training and employment initiatives.

Highlighting the achievements of the Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research, Training and Human Development Institute (SARTHI), the Chief Minister said 140 candidates supported through the initiative have cleared the UPSC examinations, while 1,124 candidates have qualified in the MPSC.
He added that more than 500 candidates secured jobs in the banking sector, over 13,000 youths became employable through skill development programmes, and more than two lakh students benefited from SARTHI’s training initiatives.
Fadnavis said such programmes are aimed at creating opportunities for youth and ensuring inclusive development across Maharashtra.
