Mangaluru, Jun 27: St Agnes PU College organized an enlightening session on health, hygiene and personal grooming on June 25 in the college auditorium for the II PUC students.
The session commenced with a prayer song rendered by Princita and group. This was followed by a warm welcome and introduction of the resource person, Dr Ritesh D'Cunha, associate professor, department of anaesthesiology, Father Muller Medical College, by Ritika. Principal Sr Norine D'Souza warmly welcomed Dr D’Cunha by presenting him with a potted plant.























Addressing the students, Dr Ritesh D'Cunha underscored the importance of health, hygiene, and personal grooming in everyday life as non-negotiable. The ultimate payoff, he said is when you master the 8 non-negotiables which will eventually enable you to take ownership of your biology. With your baseline hygiene covered, you walk into every room, interview, and exam exuding confidence.
He emphasized that these are the cornerstones of a successful and fulfilling life, requiring discipline, consistency, and commitment. Through practical insights and real-life examples, he encouraged students to cultivate healthy habits and maintain personal cleanliness and grooming standards to enhance their well-being, and overall personality.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ayesha Fatima, who expressed gratitude to the resource person for his informative and inspiring address. Anita, convenor of the cleanliness committee, presented a memento to Dr Ritesh D'Cunha as a mark of appreciation.
Thereafter, badges were distributed to a dedicated group of student volunteers entrusted with supervising the cleanliness of the campus and ensuring that the surroundings remain neat, clean, and well-maintained.
