Tehran, Jun 27: Iran on Saturday accused the United States of a “blatant violation” of the understanding reached between the two countries to end the ongoing Middle East conflict, following fresh American strikes on Iranian targets.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry, in a statement, said the US attacks on Iranian coastal surveillance facilities were a direct breach of the memorandum of understanding aimed at halting hostilities.
“These brutal attacks, which targeted Iranian coastal surveillance facilities, are a blatant violation of the memorandum of understanding to end the war,” the ministry said.

The accusation came after the US military confirmed that its forces carried out strikes on Iranian missile and drone storage sites along with coastal radar locations on Friday.
The US said the action was in response to an Iranian attack on a cargo ship travelling through the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping route.
The latest escalation has raised fresh concerns over the stability of the fragile peace arrangement between Washington and Tehran.
