Mangaluru, Jun 27: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, organised a doubles carrom tournament for MBA Aviation Management students on June 27. The event was conducted as part of the institute’s efforts to encourage extracurricular activities, enhance student engagement, and promote physical and mental well-being among students.

The matches showcased the players’ concentration, coordination, and strategic skills, making the event an enjoyable and competitive experience for all participants. The tournament provided an excellent platform for students to develop qualities such as teamwork, leadership, patience, and sportsmanship.

After a series of exciting matches, Bengali Manish and Mohammad Varis from first year MBA Aviation Management emerged as the winners of the doubles carrom tournament. Their excellent coordination, skilful gameplay, and determination helped them secure the championship title.

The successful completion of the tournament was made possible through the guidance and support of the Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, SWO, HODs, sports coordinator, faculty members of the Institute of Aviation Studies. Their encouragement played a significant role in motivating students to participate actively in sports and recreational activities.

The event concluded with appreciation for all participants and organizers. The carrom tournament not only provided a refreshing break from academic activities but also strengthened the bond among students and encouraged a culture of teamwork and healthy competition at the Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University.
