Udupi, Jul 1: Sandeep Salian (40), a former close aide to former minister and BJP leader Pramod Madhwaraj, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at a guest house near Calangute beach in Goa on Tuesday. Sandeep was a native of Malpe in Udupi district.

Sandeep had stepped down from his role as Pramod Madhwaraj's personal aide several years ago. He was currently engaged in the tourism business and reportedly owned a tourist boat in Malpe.

He had travelled to Goa on a leisure trip three days ago. His sudden death has raised concerns, with speculation over whether it was caused by a heart attack or if foul play was involved.

The exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained.
