Mangaluru, Jul 3: Prayer Wednesday was observed with great devotion at St Sebastian Church, Permannur, on July 1.
This marked the beginning of the weekly Wednesday Novena in honor of St Sebastian. From now on, the Novena will be held every Wednesday at St Sebastian Church, Permannur. The parish priest, Fr Andrew Leo D'Souza, invited all the faithful to participate regularly every Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The weekly programme will include praise and worship, the Holy Eucharist, and Eucharistic Adoration.


















On this occasion, Fr Cyril Lobo of the diocese of Udupi led the Eucharistic Adoration and celebrated the Holy Eucharist.
Br Prakash, director of the Divine Mercy Prayer Group, Bandra, Mumbai, led the congregation in praise and worship, while Br Osmond animated the music and singing.
The parish priest, Fr Andrew Leo D'Souza, coordinated the entire programme and celebrated the Novena in honor of St Sebastian.
During the Wednesday evening Novena, the ceremony of hoisting the St Sebastian flag was held. Present for the occasion were assistant priest Fr Melvin D'Souza, resident priest Fr Jagadish Pinto, Parish Pastoral Council vice president Arun D'Souza, secretary Jyothi D'Souza, and Commission coordinator Dolphy D'Souza.
Around 1,200 faithful participated in this prayer gathering. At the conclusion of the service, blessed bread was distributed to all the faithful. Members of the Charismatic team and numerous volunteers rendered generous service throughout the programme, contributing to its smooth and prayerful conduct.
