Carmel School, Kotekar celebrates National Doctors' Day with tribute to healthcare heroes

Mangaluru, Jul 3: National Doctors’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Carmel English Medium Higher Primary School (CBSE), Kotekar on July 1 in the school auditorium. The programme was graced by the chief guest Dr Akshatha CJ-Ayurveda physician and academician, principal Sr Pramila D Souza AC, administrator Sr Julie Ann AC, and vice principal Sr Anitha D’Souza AC. The programme was beautifully organized and presented by the students of class V-B under the able guidance of Suhani.

The celebration commenced with a prayer, invoking God’s blessings on all healthcare professionals. This was followed by a welcome dance, which set a joyful tone for the event. The gathering was then warmly welcomed through a welcome speech. The chief guest, Dr Akshatha CJ, was formally introduced by Deeksha, who highlighted her achievements and contributions to the field of Ayurveda and education.

The students showcased their talents through a series of meaningful performances. A touching mime show portrayed the selfless service and dedication of doctors. The Significance of National Doctors’ Day was explained, helping the audience understand the importance of honoring medical professionals for their tireless service to society. A thought-provoking skit titled 'The White Coat Behind the Stethoscope' beautifully depicted the sacrifices, compassion, and commitment of doctors beyond their professional role. The audience was further delighted by a graceful dance performance, which added colour and energy to the celebration.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Akshatha CJ inspired the students with her motivating words, encouraging them to value good health, cultivate compassion, and appreciate the noble service rendered by doctors. She also emphasized the importance of discipline, healthy living, and dedication in achieving success.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the chief guest, the management, the principal, the administrator, the vice principal, the teachers, students, and everyone who contributed to the success of the event. The celebration served as a meaningful tribute to the medical fraternity and reminded everyone of the invaluable role doctors play in healing lives and serving humanity with dedication and compassion.
