Mangaluru, Jul 4: As part of the national pulse polio immunization programme, the Agnes Towards Community (ATC) unit of St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, actively participated in a community outreach initiative by assisting primary healthcare officials in administering polio drops to children in the adopted villages of Kotekar, Amblamogaru, Beeri, Bagambila, and Kinya.
Final-year BA and BSc students, who are members of ATC, conducted a door-to-door immunization drive in Kotekar, Amblamogaru, and Beeri villages on June 29 and 30. The volunteers visited households to ensure that every eligible child received polio drops and educated parents on the importance of timely immunization and polio prevention.

The programme was organized in coordination with primary healthcare officials under the guidance of Dr Shailaja H G, coordinator of Agnes Towards Community (ATC). This initiative reflects the college's commitment to community service, public health, and social responsibility through meaningful outreach programmes.
