Udupi: Madhava Kripa School holds dental health awareness programme

Udupi, Jul 7: Madhava Kripa School, Manipal, organized a dental health awareness programme for the students of grades 9 and 10 with the objective of promoting the importance of oral hygiene and preventive dental care.

The programme featured an insightful session by Dr Gopalakrishna Dharmarajan, dean of Manipal College of Dental Sciences, who highlighted the close connection between oral health and overall physical well-being. He emphasized that maintaining good oral hygiene is essential for leading a healthy life.

Dr Kalyan Pentapati, professor and head of the department of public health dentistry at Manipal College of Dental Sciences, educated the students on effective oral hygiene practices and shared practical tips for maintaining healthy teeth and gums through proper daily care and regular dental check-ups.

The program was attended by the principal of Madhava Kripa School, Swati Kulkarni, all the teachers, and the students of grades 9 and 10.

The program was compered by Teacher Shwetha Kamath.

The session concluded on a positive note, leaving the students with greater awareness of the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and adopting healthy dental care practices for lifelong well-being.
