Mangaluru, Jul 9: Mount Carmel Central School, celebrated the achievements of its young learners at the English Communicative Classes Award Ceremony held on July 9 for the academic year 2025–26. The ceremony honoured students who excelled in the English communicative programme conducted by Accolades Academy, recognising their outstanding communication skills, confidence, and overall performance.
The programme commenced with a prayer song, invoking God's blessings, followed by a warm welcome to Krishnaprasad Adappa, director of Accolades Academy, whose presence added significance to the occasion.
In his inspiring address, Krishnaprasad Adappa highlighted that while artificial intelligence is transforming the way people learn and work, it can never replace the power of effective human communication. He emphasised that qualities such as confident speaking, critical thinking, empathy, collaboration, and interpersonal skills remain uniquely human and will continue to be indispensable for success in an AI-driven world. He encouraged the students to cultivate these essential skills, reminding them that effective communication will always be one of their greatest strengths.
The principal, Sr Melissa AC, congratulated the award recipients on their remarkable accomplishments and appreciated the dedicated efforts of Krishnaprasad Adappa and his team in nurturing confident and articulate communicators. She encouraged the students to continue learning with passion, embrace every opportunity for growth, and strive for excellence in all their endeavours.
The award ceremony was the highlight of the programme. The principal, Sr Melissa presented the certificates and prizes to the award recipients. Certificates were awarded to the top four finalists from each section of grades IV to VIII, while the first, second, and third place winners in each grade received certificates and prizes in recognition of their exceptional performance. The celebration was a fitting tribute not only to academic excellence but also to the confidence, fluency, and effective communication skills the students had cultivated through the programme.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Krishnaprasad Adappa for his presence and inspiring address, the principal for her constant encouragement and for presenting the awards, and the dedicated faculty of Accolades Academy and school staff for their unwavering guidance and commitment. The memorable celebration reaffirmed the school's commitment to nurturing articulate, confident, and future-ready learners. Tr Purnima compered the programme with grace and poise.
