Lucknow, Jul 10: The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has carried out a major bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring 20 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and assigning them to key positions across various departments.
Among the prominent appointments, Shubha Verma, who was serving as Secretary in the Revenue Department, has been appointed as the new Labour Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh.

Dr Sarika Mohan, Director General of Medical Education and Secretary of the Medical Education Department, has been given the additional charge of Director General, Registration, Uttar Pradesh.
Neha Sharma, who was serving as Director General, Registration, has been appointed Director General of Medical Education. She will also serve as Secretary of the Medical Education Department.
Arun Kumar, Additional Director in the Geology and Mining Department, has been appointed Mission Director of the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission.
J Reema, Special Secretary in the Geology and Mining Department, has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Additional Director of the department while continuing in her present role.
Deepa Ranjan, who was serving as Mission Director of the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission, has been transferred as Special Secretary in the Culture Department.
Sanjay Kumar Singh-I has been relieved of his responsibilities as Special Secretary in the Culture Department. He will continue as Director of Charitable Affairs and has also been given the additional charge of Director, Culture.
Riya Kejriwal, Managing Director of Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (MVVNL), Lucknow, has been appointed Special Secretary in the Child Development and Nutrition Department.
Meanwhile, Sandeep Bhagia, Additional Commissioner of State Tax in Gautam Buddh Nagar and Ghaziabad-II, has been appointed Managing Director of Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited.
The state government undertakes periodic transfers of IAS officers as part of its administrative exercise to improve governance, strengthen policy implementation, and align senior officials with evolving administrative priorities.
