Kadaba, Jul 11: Kadaba police have registered two counter cases following an alleged assault arising out of a dispute related to a woman's marriage.
According to the complaint lodged by Monish (21), a resident of Kadaba, he was returning home after work on the night of July 10 when he was allegedly intercepted near the College Road junction in Kadaba by Sharath, Deepak and Vishwanath. The trio allegedly abused him, assaulted him and issued death threats over a dispute concerning a woman's marriage.

Based on his complaint, Kadaba police registered a case (Crime No. 84/2026) under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
During the course of the investigation, Deepak (33), a resident of Kutrupadi, filed a counter complaint alleging that Monish had wrongfully restrained him, assaulted him and threatened his life.
Based on the counter complaint, Kadaba police registered another case (Crime No. 85/2026) under the relevant provisions of the BNS.
Police said both cases are under investigation and further legal action will be taken accordingly.
