Udupi, July 15: Madhava Kripa School, Manipal, conducted its Parent Teacher Association (PTA) general body meeting on Saturday, July 11, bringing together parents, teachers, and members of the school management to review the association's activities and elect a new executive committee for the 2026–28 term.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Dr Narayan Sabhahit, secretary of the Academy of General Education, Manipal, underscored the importance of a strong parent teacher association in promoting effective collaboration between parents and the school for the holistic development of students.























Principal Swati Kulkarni highlighted the school's achievements in academics, sports, co-curricular activities, and overall student development. She expressed gratitude to parents for their continued trust, support, and active participation in the school's progress.
Dr K Sreedhara Ranganath Pai appreciated the commitment and hard work of the teaching staff and acknowledged the vital role played by parents in the institution's continued success.
Following the general body meeting, elections were held for the PTA executive committee for the 2026–28 term. Dr Swathi Pai was elected president, Dr Jitendra Kumar Katiyar as vice president, Namitha Shetty as secretary, and Supriya as treasurer. Class-wise parent representatives were also appointed.
The event concluded on a positive note with the launch of the school's Parent App and the induction of the newly elected PTA executive committee, reaffirming Madhava Kripa School's commitment to strengthening parent-school partnership and fostering greater collaboration in the years ahead.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by outgoing PTA secretary Dr Deepak Mallya, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp. Outgoing vice president Pooja Shanbhag presented a report highlighting the PTA's initiatives and achievements over the past two years. Outgoing president Dr Rajesh Krishna Bhandary presented the annual report, while outgoing Treasurer Kavitha Gururaj presented the financial report.
The meeting was attended by school correspondent N Chandrashekar Prabhu; vice principals Kasturi Kamath and Jyothi Santhosh, and headmistress Asha Nayak.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Supriya, while Dr Vijetha Shenoy compered the event.
