Ensure Power During Exams: Akhikesh


Lucknow, Mar 21 (IANS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav Wednesday ordered that there should be no power cuts between 6-10 p.m. to enable students preparing for critical school examinations.

The order was given to the Uttar Pradesh Power Corp Ltd (UPPCL) keeping in mind the ongoing UP Board exams of Classes X and XII.

Sources in the chief minister's office said Akhilesh Yadav had said the order should be implemented from Thursday.

This special power cut-free regime would be in place till April 20 when the exams conclude.

More than 63 lakh students are appearing in the UP Board examinations this year.
