Mangaluru, Jul 18: The trailer of ‘Karavali’, a Kannada film based on the traditional sport of Kambala in Tulunadu, has been released. The film is written and directed by Gurudatha Ganiga. It is presented by KVN Productions, produced under the banner of Gurudatha Ganiga Films, and co-produced by VK Films and Suram Movies. ‘Karavali’ will release on July 24.
The trailer’s music has been programmed by Sachin Basrur. Additional music producers are Sachin Basrur, Chethan Handattu, Jagadish Venky, Pavan Basrur, and Krishna Basrur. Backing vocals have been rendered by Krishnamurthy Basrur, Krishna Basrur, Nagaprakash Kota, Jagadish Venky, Ramakrishna Basrur, and Poornanandha Basrur, while Sachin Basrur has provided the backing solo vocals. The taase percussion was performed by Pradeep Malpe and team and recorded at Eyedea Creatives, Udupi. Live percussion was recorded at RBM Studio, Basrur. The trailer was mixed and mastered by S P Narayanan.
Karavali stars Prajwal Devaraj, Raj B Shetty, Sampada, Mitra, Ramesh Indira, Sushmita Bhat, Sridhar K S, Govinde Gowda, and Niranjan. The film is produced by Gurudatha Ganiga, with Vinod Kumar, Shithil G Poojary, Sathish Kumar Raji, Prasanna Kumar, Manish Dinakar, Shyam Sundar, and Jayaram Devasumudra serving as co-producers.
The story is by Chandrashekar Bandiyappa, while the screenplay has been penned by Tejovrusha, Ravi Sriram, Kowshik Kooduraste, and Gurudatha Ganiga. Dialogues are by Tejovrusha. Abhimanyu Sadanandan is the director of photography, Sachin Basrur has composed the music and background score, and Pratheek Shetty is the editor. Guna is the art director, Rudra the choreographer, and Vikram Mor, Arjun Raj, and Raghavendra are the action directors.
The DI and colour grading have been handled by Srik Varier of Color Planet Studios, Kochi. Ravi Sriram is the co-director, Tejovrusha the associate director, and the direction team comprises Gagan Ravichandra, Sachin Dwaja, Kowshik Kuduraste, Berkhana Bharath, Sachin Lakshman, Kabir Raj Verman, and Shravan. Subtitles are by Madhu Daitota, with Somashekhar as production manager and Puttappa Veerasetty as assistant manager. Prajwal Shetty is the line producer.
The film’s VFX has been executed by Spector Post, sound design by Pradeep G, and Dolby mixing by SP Narayan at VELS D Studio. Makeup is by Kiran Nayak and Prakash, costumes by Ganesh, and Vasu serves as associate director. Smitha Prakash is the costume designer and stylist, while Charan Lokanath is the online editor. Publicity posters are by Sugar Candy. Pavithra Gowda and Shruthi Krishna of Pink Tickets are the PROs, and marketing is handled by Pink Tickets and Creative Guyz. The music is being released under the Aanand Audio Video label.
