New Delhi, Jul 21: A 19-year-old Class 11 student was allegedly stabbed to death following a quarrel with a group of youths in southeast Delhi's Kalkaji on Monday afternoon. Police have apprehended two suspects in connection with the incident.

According to police, the incident took place near a park in B Block of the DDA Flats in Kalkaji. A PCR call reporting a quarrel among school students was received at around 2.23 pm, following which a police team rushed to the spot.

The victim was found lying with multiple stab injuries. A Centralised Accident and Trauma Services (CATS) ambulance reached the scene and administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) before shifting him to the AIIMS Trauma Centre, where doctors declared him dead.

The deceased was identified as Saiyed Husain (19), a resident of JJ Camp in Okhla Phase II. Police said he was a Class 11 student studying at an MCD school in Kalkaji.

Preliminary investigations indicate that Husain was stabbed during a quarrel involving two or three persons.

Police said the accused were identified soon after the incident, and multiple teams were formed to trace them. Two suspects have since been apprehended, while further investigation is underway.

Officials are examining CCTV footage from the area and questioning witnesses to establish the sequence of events leading to the attack.

The exact motive behind the fatal assault is yet to be ascertained. Police have registered a case, and the victim's body has been sent for postmortem examination.
