Houston, Jul 25: In a historic milestone for the Houston Konkani community, the blockbuster film Bapache Putache Navim is set to make its premier screening in the United States. Presented in collaboration with the Houston Konkani Catholic Association (HKCA), Vision Konkani, and Daijiworld, this monumental cinematic event promises to bring together Konkani culture and cinema enthusiasts across the region.
The screening will take place on Sunday, July 26, starting at 3 pm at MATCH Theatre (Matchbox 2), located within the Midtown Arts & Theatre Center Houston at 3400 Main Street, Houston, TX 77002, USA.
Produced by Michael D’Souza (Dubai) under the Vision Konkani banner, Bapache Putache Navim is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Stany Bela. The film features key creative and technical contributions from Joel Shaman D’Souza, Arjun Lewis, Sanjay Rodrigues, Kevin Shervin Mascarenhas, Sharath Hegde, and Loy Valentine. Recognised widely as a major industry hit, this moving story showcases world-class production values and celebrated storytelling.
This event marks the first time a Konkani industry blockbuster of this scale is showcased live in Houston, Texas.
