Udupi: Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrated at SMVITM

Udupi, Jul 28: Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, observed Kargil Vijay Diwas with patriotic fervour to honour the courage and supreme sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces during the Kargil War.

Ex-serviceman Subedar Raveendra Kamath, who was a part of the Kargil War, was the chief guest of the function. He was felicitated by the institution in recognition of his dedicated service to the nation and his contribution during the Kargil War.

Addressing the gathering, Subedar Raveendra Kamath shared his experiences during the war and reflected on the courage, resilience, and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces. He inspired students to serve the nation in every possible way and motivated the youth, especially NCC cadets, to join the Armed Forces and contribute to the service of the nation.

The program was presided over by Dr Nagaraj Bhat, principal, SMVITM, and Dr Sudarshan Rao K, dean (academics) and heads of departments, faculty members, staff, students, and NCC cadets.

Lieutenant Karthik V, associate NCC officer (ANO), coordinated the event.
