Mangaluru, Jul 31: A major update has emerged regarding ‘Toss’, directed by ‘Action King’ Arjun Dev (Arjun Kapikad). The film marks the Tulu debut of an actor from the blockbuster KGF franchise, and the makers have released its motion poster.

Arjun Dev, who announced the project a year ago, has now completed the film, which is ready for release. As part of the first phase of promotions, the team has unveiled an AI-generated video introducing one of the film’s principal actors.

Actor Garuda Ram, who shot to fame as Garuda in the blockbuster KGF, is making his maiden appearance in a Tulu film with Toss. He will be seen in a powerful villainous role, taking on hero Arjun Dev.

Speaking about Garuda Ram’s involvement, actor-director Arjun Dev said that large-scale productions are essential for the growth of the Tulu language and film industry. He added that Garuda Ram’s entry has given the film a major boost and that working with such an experienced actor was a rewarding experience. Garuda Ram reportedly shot for three weeks and later came to Mangaluru to dub for his role.

The release date of Toss was also announced. Starring and directed by Arjun Dev, the film is slated for release on September 18. Notably, Toss will be released simultaneously not only in Tulu but also in Kannada, Telugu and Hindi.

Devdas Kapikad has penned the story and screenplay for Toss, while Arjun Dev has wielded the megaphone. Bankrolled by Sagar Poojary and being produced under the Avika Productions banner, Toss is set to hit theatres on September 18.
