Mangaluru, Aug 3: Taluk-level badminton matches were organized at the badminton court in Mangala Indoor Stadium by Ladyhill Victoria High School, in collaboration with the Block Education Office of Mangalore North on July 31.
The guests were accompanied by the school band.
The event commenced with a prayer service, setting a respectful and traditional tone for the day, followed by the singing of the state Anthem.
The distinguished guests of the day included Sr Maria Kripa AC joint secretary of Ladyhill Institutions. Harish Rai, who is the tentative president of the State Physical Education Association, and Vinod Kumar, secretary of state sports association, Nithin Puthran, president of Taluk Physical Education Association. Cheluvammma Physical Education instructor. Sr Therese Tina AC, principal of Ladyhill Victoria ICSE School, Sr Magdalene AC, headmistress of Ladyhill Kannada Primary School.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.

Harish Rai, our distinguished guest, delivered an inspiring speech in which he congratulated the students and encouraged them to seize the opportunities in the field of sports. Sister Maria Kripa AC also motivated the students, urging them to aim for recognition not only at the state level but also for the nation and to dedicate their utmost effort to their sporting pursuits. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from Anand, The physical education instructor of Ladyhill Victoria High School. The matches that followed were skillfully conducted by Arun Baptist, along with other referees, ensuring a smooth and fair competition.
