Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Aug 6: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Thursday announced that the party would launch a nationwide outreach campaign next month to gather public feedback on key issues affecting citizens, with unemployment set to be taken up as a major national issue.

Dipke made the announcement at a press conference following the conclusion of the CJP's core committee meeting held at his residence in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. The meeting had been in progress since Wednesday.

CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das, spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka and other party representatives were also present.

Announcing the initiative, Dipke said the 'Kya Bolti Public' (What Are the People Saying?) campaign would seek people's views on the current situation in the country and the challenges they face.

"During the 'Kya Bolti Public' campaign, we will get to know what people think of the present situation in the country and what the issues they face are," he said.

Highlighting unemployment as a pressing concern, Dipke said the issue would be raised across the country. Referring to recent protests, he said they drew participation not only from students but also from unemployed youth. He noted that nearly 60 per cent of India's population is below the age of 35 and many of those who joined the demonstration at Jantar Mantar belonged to that age group.

"Unemployment is a major problem; we will make it a nationwide issue," he said.

Dipke also said the party would focus on education reforms, alleging that education has become unaffordable from the school level and is increasingly being treated as a profit-making sector.

"We will work on education reforms. Education has remained unaffordable since schooling. Education is used for making profits. But we want to change it," he said.

Describing the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as the biggest achievement of the students' agitation, Dipke claimed that the protests had ended the atmosphere of fear created over the past decade.

"The fear which this government created in the last 10-12 years in the minds of people has now ended. People will now come onto the streets. Today, they have sought resignation of one person; tomorrow they will demand resignations of others," he said.

The CJP had organised protests at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi last month over the alleged NEET paper leak and other examination-related irregularities.

Dipke further asserted that the party's ideology is rooted in the Constitution of India.

"CJP will operate as per Babasaheb Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Nehru's vision for a developed India. Our ideology is the same as the Constitution of India," he said.
