Mahindra Group names Amit Sinha as Holidays, Lifespaces CEO

Daijiworld Media Network - Mumbai

Mumbai, Aug 10: Mahindra Group on Monday appointed Amit Sinha, currently Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Lifespaces Developers Ltd (MLDL), as the CEO of its Holidays and Lifespaces sector.

The company, however, has not announced Sinha's date of appointment. He will take charge after a new CEO is appointed at Mahindra Lifespaces.

The move comes as the group steps up its strategic focus on the Holidays and Lifespaces businesses to accelerate growth and leverage operational synergies between the two sectors, which have been identified as 'Growth Gems'.

The group said leadership and reporting structures for the relevant businesses will be aligned as part of the implementation of the new sector structure.

"Both Holidays and Lifespaces businesses have tremendous potential. As we move into the next phase of growth, we have been evaluating how to harness the synergies between them to further strengthen the growth trajectory," said Anish Shah, Group CEO and MD, Mahindra Group.

Over the past five years, Mahindra Group said it has recorded significant momentum across its businesses, with its 'Growth Gems' emerging as an important pillar of this expansion.

Several of these businesses have exceeded the group's fivefold growth expectations during the period and are positioned for further expansion, it said.

Mahindra Lifespaces has been among the group's standout Growth Gems. Residential pre-sales have increased fivefold since FY20, rising from around Rs 700 crore to Rs 3,500 crore.

The company's industrial segment has also delivered strong growth during the period. Overall, Mahindra Lifespaces has moved from losses to a profit of around Rs 300 crore in FY26, according to the company.

Mahindra Holidays has also made significant progress over the same period. With more than three lakh vacation ownership members, the business is a leader in its segment and has added over 1,700 rooms.

The company is also expanding beyond its traditional vacation ownership business into leisure hospitality, with an ambition to become one of India's leading hospitality players.

Sinha's appointment is expected to bring the group's Holidays and Lifespaces businesses under a more closely aligned leadership structure as Mahindra Group looks to accelerate growth and maximise synergies between the two businesses.
