Mangaluru, Aug 12: The management of Nitte (Deemed to be University) and K S Hegde Medical Academy has congratulated Dr Rashmi Kamath, a second-year postgraduate student in the Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care at K S Hegde Medical Academy, for securing two second prizes at the 40th Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Karnataka (ISACON Karnataka 2026).
The conference was held from August 6 to 9 at St John's Medical College, Bengaluru.

Dr Rashmi secured second prize in the ‘Trainee Talent’ competition, which aims to identify the best future teacher among postgraduate students.
She also won second prize in the BLDE's Best Paper Presentation competition for her paper titled ‘Evaluation of MACOCHA score to predict difficult intubation in critically Ill patients in the ICU’.
The management of Nitte (Deemed to be University) and K S Hegde Medical Academy congratulated Dr Rashmi on the achievement and appreciated her academic performance and contribution to the field of anaesthesiology and critical care.
